Interstate 390 Shut Down Temporarily After Major Dump Truck Crash by Chili Avenue
GATES, NEW YORK (June 21, 2026) – Several people were injured in a Gates dump truck accident along Interstate 390 southbound by the Chili Avenue exit.
New York State police are saying that the accident took place around 1 PM on Thursday afternoon. A dump truck was heading down the interstate when it was involved in a collision with passenger vehicles.
The force of the impact caused major damage to the vehicles involved. Several people were transported to local area hospitals.
