Hit-and- run driver, Terrance Smith, turned the streets of Brooklyn into his own demolition derby on April 8th – killing a rollerblader and injuring seven others. A 61-year-old woman was critically injured after being hit by an MTA bus in New York City on March 6, 2017, around 9 p.m. Aurora Beauchamp was crossing E. A truck in Brooklyn fatally struck an 81-year-old pedestrian on March 18th. The elderly woman was crossing the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Rockaway Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn, NYC.
