Motorcycle Rider Died in Accident With Pickup Truck Making Left Turn at Nesconset Highway and New Moriches Road
STONY BROOK, NEW YORK (January 3, 2025) – A 24-year-old motorcyclist has tragically died in a Stony Brook car accident on Nesconset Highway by New Moriches Road.
Stony Brook officials are saying that the accident took place around 12:22 a.m. on Saturday. A motorcyclist was traveling down the road when they were hit by a truck making a left turn.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision to help the victim. Sadly, he died due to his injuries.
Police have since arrested the truck driver on suspicion of DUI. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
