Man Crossing Route 22 Injured in Car Accident in Sommerset County West of North Plainfield
SOMMERSET COUNTY, NEW JERSEY (December 19, 2025) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a Somerset County car accident along Route 22.
Somerset County officials are saying that the accident took place around 5:10 AM on Thursday. A pedestrian was crossing Route 22 when they were hit by a Volkswagen Tiguan.
First responders were called to the scene of the collision to help the victim. They were transported to the University Medical Trauma Center in Newark.
A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
