One Firefighter, Six Injured in Borough Park, Brooklyn Apartment Fire as Cause of Fire Remains Under Investigation
BOROUGH PARK, BROOKLYN (February 4, 2026) – At least seven people were injured in a Borough Park, Brooklyn apartment fire that left one person in critical condition.
New York City officials are saying that the accident took place around 8:50 AM on January 28. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the multiunit apartment after getting reports of a fire.
In all, one firefighter was injured in the blaze along with six civilians. One person was transferred to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities believed that the building had illegal bars, which blocked victims from being able to escape. A full investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
