Liability In Dutchess County Car Accidents
Thousands of people are killed or seriously injured in car accidents every year. According to the CDC, “more than 32,000 people are killed and 2 million are injured each year from motor vehicle crashes. In 2013, the US crash death rate was more than twice the average of other high-income countries.” There are many factors that could potentially contribute to a car accident.
- Inclement weather
- Distracted driving
- Dangerous road conditions
The family of any person that is killed due to the negligence of another driver may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim. Damages in a civil claim can help cover many of the expenses that come with the sudden loss of a loved one. Sadly, drivers will often fight hard to deny liability for any collision. This is why it is so important that evidence is properly preserved after any collision.
