Pedestrian Injured in Brooklyn FBI Vehicle Hit-and-Run Accident

Federal Indictment Says an Agent Drove the Wrong Way on Ocean Parkway, Struck a Pedestrian, and Left Him Unconscious on a Bench

Pedestrian Killed In Clifton Car Accident

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (November 7, 2026) – A pedestrian was severely injured in a hit-and-run accident involving an FBI vehicle at Ocean Parkway and Beverley Road in Brooklyn.

Kings County officials are saying that the crash occurred on Tuesday, February 3; the time of day has not been released. A man was reportedly trying to cross the street when he was hit by an FBI special agent that was driving an FBI-issued car with its emergency lights on while headed north along Ocean Parkway.

The car struck the victim and knocked him down. Prosecutors are claiming that the FBI agent stopped at the scene and dragged the unconscious man across the sidewalk before sitting him on a bench.

He then allegedly drove away without calling for medical assistance or reporting the crash. The pedestrian involved was seriously injured.

A full investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.

Liability for Brooklyn FBI Vehicle Hit-and-Run Accidents

When a federal employee injures someone while driving on the job, the claim generally runs against the United States under the Federal Tort Claims Act rather than against the driver personally. Drivers are expected to operate their vehicle with due care at all times. They are expected to slow down when approaching any pedestrian in the roadway. Multiple steps should be taken after any accident involving a pedestrian.

  • Police Report: The driver involved in the accident should call police and report what happened.
  • Surveillance Footage: Surveillance footage that may have captured the incident should be collected.
  • Medical Records: Medical records related to the victim’s injuries should be preserved.
  • Legal Guidance: Any person injured in a New York pedestrian accident should seek the guidance of an experienced personal injury attorney.

Hit-and-run crashes are among the hardest pedestrian cases to untangle. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 7,314 pedestrians were killed in U.S. traffic crashes in 2023, and nearly one in four of them were struck by hit-and-run drivers. These accidents tend to be highly preventable and often involve drivers that are not paying attention to the road ahead of them. Any person injured due to the negligence of a driver may be able to pursue some measure of accountability through a bodily injury claim.
