One Person Critically Injured Following Overnight Fire at Apartment Complex on Andrews Avenue in University Heights, Bronx
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, BRONX – Two people were injured in a University Heights, Bronx five-story apartment building fire at 2341 Andrews Ave.
The FDNY is saying that the accident took place around 2:00 AM on Thursday. A fire broke out on the first floor of the building.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene to help all of the victims. Two people were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
One of those people was seriously injured. Firefighters eventually got the fire under control. A cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
