Liability For Niagara County Semi-Truck Accidents

The involvement rate per 100 million large-truck miles traveled is up 7% from 2020, and up 22% in the last 10 years.” Semi-truck companies should take a number of measures in order to prevent collisions.

Truck drivers must get a commercial driver’s license and are held to a high standard in terms of safety. Many truck accidents involve drivers who make dangerous left turns. Pursuant to New York Vehicle & Traffic Law § 1163, no person shall make a left turn until they have first yielded to all vehicles close enough so as to pose a hazard. Victims of semi-truck accidents tend to suffer very serious injuries, including:
- Broken bones
- Head injuries
- Lacerations
