Liability For Westchester County Semi-Truck Accidents
Semi-trucks are uniquely dangerous to those in passenger vehicles. According to the FMCSA, “Motor vehicle crashes are complex events. Usually they involve two or more vehicles. Elements that influence the occurrence of a crash may take place hours, days, or months before the crash.” There are thousands of factors that could contribute to a car accident.
- Distracted driving
- Inclement weather
- Slick roadways
Truck companies have a legal obligation to maintain their vehicles. Vehicle leaks are nearly always preventable. Any person that is injured due to the negligence of a truck company may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim. Damages in a civil claim can help cover many of the expenses that come with the sudden loss of a loved one. A truck accident attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what your legal options are.
