Justine B. Uy joined Gersowitz Libo & Korek as a law intern in her second year of law school. Justine is currently a third-year student at Fordham University School of Law where she is a member of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocates and an associate editor of the International Law Journal. Justine also serves as a graduate research assistant to Professor James Kainen. From May through December of 2018, she was a judicial intern with the Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program. In this role, she conducted extensive legal research and assisted with motion practice. Justine also drafted multiple bench memoranda, orders, and decisions.
Justine graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2017, where she majored in political science and Arabic. At Notre Dame, she was the editor-in-chief of Beyond Politics, the university’s political science journal. She was also a research assistant to Professor Emilia Justyna Powell, focusing on international law. Justine also volunteered as a tutor at the Robinson Community Learning Center.
