Investigation Underway After Woman Hit By Falling Tree in Mount Hope on Memorial Day
MOUNT HOPE, BRONX (May 31, 2026) – A woman was injured after being hit by a falling tree in Mount Hope by East 176th Street and Clay Avenue.
US city officials are saying that the accident took place around 1:30 PM on Memorial Day. The accident took place after several days of rain in the city.
Paramedics replied to the scene of the crash to help the injured woman. She sustained a head injury as well as multiple fractures on her arm and right leg.
A full investigation into the circumstances leading up to the incident remains ongoing.
