Investigation Underway After Woman Killed, Another Injured In Brooklyn Car Accident By The Intersection of Eldert Street and Knickerbocker Avenue
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (September 1, 2024) – A woman was killed and another was injured in a Brooklyn hit-and-run collision by Eldert Street and Knickerbocker Avenue.
New York City officials are saying that the accident took place around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Two women were walking through the intersection when they were hit by an SUV.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victims. A 71-year-old woman was pronounced dead at Wycoff Hospital.
Another woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital with serious injuries. She is expected to survive. The driver involved in the collision fled the scene and is being sought by police.
