Man Died, Woman Critically Injured In Mount Hope, Bronx Apartment Fire

BRONX, NEW YORK (September 2, 2024) – One person has died and another person was injured after a fire broke out at a Mount Hope, Bronx apartment fire at a building on 176th Street.

New York City police officials are saying that the incident took place around 6:15 a.m. on Thursday. Firefighters were called to the scene after getting reports of a fire.

Authorities said that a 50-year-old woman was pulled from the fire with critical injuries. A man later died due to his injuries.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
