Two Workers Were Injured in Oceanside Conveyor Belt Accident at Earth Tech Recycling, a Materials Processing Facility
OCEANSIDE, NEW YORK (August 27, 2025) – Two workers were injured in Oceanside, Long Island after being involved in some type of conveyor belt accident at Earth Tech Recycling.
Long Island officials are saying that the accident took place on Monday. The two workers were apparently injured after some type of conveyor belt fell on top of them.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene to help the two victims. Both men were pulled from underneath the industrial conveyor belt.
A 68-year-old worker sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. The 62-year-old worker sustained less severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
