SODUS, NEW YORK (December 11, 2023) – One person has tragically died in a Sodus car accident along State Route 104 leading one person to be arrested.

That car failed to yield the right of way to a 2011 Chevy HHR that was traveling eastbound. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help all of the victims.
Sadly, one person died due to their injuries. A full investigation into the Sodus collision remains ongoing at this time.
Liability For Sodus Car Accidents
Speed is one of the most common causes of car accidents in the United States. According to the NHTSA, “For more than two decades, speeding has been involved in approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities. In 2020, speeding was a contributing factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities.” Victims of car accidents tend to suffer very serious injuries including:
- Head injuries
- Organ damage
- Spinal cord injuries
- Death
All drivers have a legal obligation to maintain a safe speed in order to avoid collisions. If a driver fails to yield the right of way to another driver, this could form the basis of a negligence claim. The family of any person that died in a car accident may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim. Sadly, though, it is common for drivers to deny liability for any collision.
