New York State Police Investigating Colonie Car Accident Involving Bicyclist On Central Avenue
COLONIE, NEW YORK (January 20, 2023) – A bicyclist has tragically died in a Colonie car accident by the intersection of Central Avenue and Elmwood Street.
Colonie police officials are saying that the incident took place around 11:35 a.m. Thursday. A bicyclist was heading down the road when they were rear-ended by a pickup truck.
The force of the impact ejected the bicyclist leaving them seriously injured. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim.
Sadly, the bicyclist later died at the scene. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
