Investigation Underway After Fire at Six-Story Apartment Building in the Upper West Side
UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN (February 22, 2026) – At least four people were injured in an Upper West Side apartment fire on W. 107th St. near Amsterdam Avenue.
New York City officials are saying that the incident took place around 8:20 AM on Tuesday. Firefighters were called to the scene after getting reports of the fire on the upper floor of the building.
Photos of the location showed major damage to the upper floor. The fire was eventually put out, and multiple people were taken to the hospital to receive treatment.
A full investigation remains ongoing.
