Citi Bike Rider Seriously Injured In Park Slope Collision

New York City Police Department Investigating Park Slope, Brooklyn Car Accident By The Intersection of 5th Avenue and Union Street

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (June 13, 2024) – A Citi bike rider was seriously injured after being hit by an SUV near the intersection of 5^th Avenue and Union Street  in Park Slope.

New York City police officials are saying that the collision took place around 7:30 p.m. on Friday. A Citi bike rider was attempting to cross the street when they were hit by an SUV.

The force of the impact caused the bicyclist to slam into the windshield of the SUV and break it. Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim.

The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital with serious injuries.
