The rise of e-bikes and other micromobility devices has also led to a sharp increase in the number of collisions. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, micromobility devices were involved in 267,000 emergency department visits between 2017 to 2021. Drivers should take several actions to avoid colliding with cyclists in the roadway.
