Investigation Underway After Teenager Injured in E-bike Collision Along Ganttown Road in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY (November 18, 2025) – A teenager was injured in an e-bike accident on Ganttown Road in Washington Township.

Washington Township officials are saying that the accident took place on Monday afternoon. The teen was riding an e-bike when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle for undetermined reasons.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident to help the victim. The boy suffered broken wrists after the collision with the Acura RL.

He was taken to the hospital to receive treatment. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.

Liability for Washington Township E-Bike Accidents

The rise of e-bikes and other micromobility devices has also led to a sharp increase in the number of collisions. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, micromobility devices were involved in 267,000 emergency department visits between 2017 to 2021. Drivers should take several actions to avoid colliding with cyclists in the roadway.

  • Drivers should check their blind spots before making turns.
  • Drivers should operate their vehicle at a safe speed at all times.
  • Drivers should abstain from alcohol and other intoxicating substances.

They may need to slow down well below the stated speed limit, depending on the prevailing conditions.
