Five Injured, Two Critically, After Apartment Fire Broke Out in Crown Heights, Brooklyn on Eastern Parkway
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (October 2, 2025) – At least five people were injured in a Crown Heights, Brooklyn apartment fire on Eastern Parkway.
New York City officials are saying that the fire started on the second floor of the building around 1:35 AM on Thursday morning. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the city to help all of the victims.
In all, five people sustain injuries. Two women were critically injured and transported to Kings County Hospital.
Authorities are currently investigating what may have caused the fire.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, “In 2023, local fire departments responded to an estimated 1.39 million fires in the United States. These fires caused an estimated 3,670 civilian fire deaths and 13,350 reported civilian fire injuries.
