STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK (February 15, 2025) – At least 14 people were injured, including 11 children, after a school bus was involved in a collision in Dongan Hills, Staten Island.

New York City officials are saying that a yellow school bus collided with a sedan on Friday morning. The force of the impact caused the school bus to roll onto its side.

Paramedics were called to the intersection of Laconia Avenue and Naughton Avenue. Several people were taken to Staten Island University Hospital in order to receive treatment.

The driver of the Lexus sedan involved in the crash allegedly ran a stop sign.
