Investigation Underway After Three People Died in New York City Boat Crash Near From Breezy Point

QUEENS, NEW YORK (February 23, 2025) – Three people have tragically died in a New York City boat accident near Breezy Point, Queens.

New York City officials are saying that the accident took place around 12:04 PM on Sunday. The Coast Guard and several other agencies responded to a report about a sinking boat.

Five individuals were identified, and four of those were unresponsive. Three were taken to a nearby Coast Guard station.

Two other people were airlifted to Staten Island University Hospital. Sadly, three people died due to the severe nature of their injuries and a fourth person was listed in critical condition.
