Edward Gersowitz to become NYSTLA President-Elect

Gersowitz Libo & Korek, P.C. has been involved with the New York State Trial Lawyers Association (NYSTLA) for over 20 years. All GLK attorneys are active members of NYSTLA, with partner Jeff S. Korek having served as a Past President and partner Edward H. Gersowitz soon to be President-Elect of this vital organization.

Gersowitz’s NYSTLA Journey

Ed Gersowitz became a member of the NYSTLA Board of Directors in 2011. His journey started as Secretary of the organization. Over the past four years, Gersowitz has moved up to First Vice President and his newest term on the Board of Directors as President-Elect is to begin July 2015.

Mr. Gersowitz is proud of the influence that NYSTLA continues to have on educating New York State consumers and the legislative community. This very important organization provides resources for members to continue their professional growth as attorneys in addition to providing a forum to spearhead the need for change in the legal system.

About NYSTLA

NYSTLA was formed in 1953 by 20 trial lawyers who were concerned that New York had no organization for those lawyers fighting for victims’ rights. The group met in each other’s homes to discuss organizational needs with the underlying principle that in numbers there is strength. Since then, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association has become a 3,500 member professional association, with a mission to “promote a safer and healthier society, to assure access to the civil justice system by those who are wrongfully injured and to advance representation of the public by ethical, well-trained lawyers.”
