Worker Killed In Staten Island Box Truck Accident at Amazon Facility

34-Year-Old Man Died After Being Hit By Box Truck at JFK8 Amazon Fulfillment Center on Gulf Avenue in Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK (April 23, 2024) – A 34-year-old man has tragically died in a Staten Island truck accident at an Amazon fulfillment center in Bloomfield.

New York City officials are saying that the accident took place around 11 PM on Wednesday. The 34-year-old worker was at the loading dock at the facility.

A 40-year-old man was operating a box truck and put his vehicle into reverse. A reversing vehicle struck the victim, who was standing behind the truck.

Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim. He was transported to Richmond University Medical Center in critical condition.

Sadly, he died at the hospital. A full investigation remains ongoing.

Liability for Staten Island Truck Accidents
