Mother, Kindergartener Killed By School Bus Near Elementary School On Mamaroneck Avenue

MAMARONECK, NEW YORK (August 24, 2024) – A kindergartener and his mother tragically died in a Mamaroneck school bus accident near Mamaroneck Avenue.

New York City police officials are saying that the accident took place around 8:30 a.m. on Monday. A mother and child were crossing the street when they were hit by a school bus.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victims. The child was declared dead at the scene, and his mother died after she was taken to the hospital.

Authorities believe the school bus was making a left turn when the accident took place.
