Eight People Injured in Lindenhurst, Long Island School Bus Crash by Sunrise Highway and North Delaware Avenue

LINDENHURST, NEW YORK (March 7, 2025) – At least eight children were injured in a Lindenhurst, Long Island school bus crash by the intersection of Sunrise Highway and North Delaware Avenue.

Long Island police officials are saying that the collision took place around 4:55 PM on Monday. A car failed to stop at a red light and collided with a mini school bus.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victims. Four children on the bus were injured, and four people outside of the bus were also injured.

A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
