53-Year-Old Pedestrian Tragically died In Collision by East 156th Street and Melrose Avenue
BRONX, NEW YORK (January 20, 2023) – A 53-year-old pedestrian has tragically died in a car accident in the Bronx near the intersection of East 156th Street and Melrose Avenue.
New York City police officials are saying that the incident took place around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. A pedestrian was crossing the street when they were hit by an SUV.
The driver of the SUV fled the scene leaving the female pedestrian seriously injured. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim.
Sadly, she later died due to the severe nature of her injuries. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
