SUFFOLK COUNTY, NEW YORK (February 28, 2026)—A woman was seriously injured in a Suffolk County car accident along Flower Hill Drive by William Floyd Parkway.
Suffolk County officials are saying that the crash took place around 8:45 AM on February 16. A 2005 Chrysler Pacifica and a 2023 Jeep were involved in a collision at the intersection.

Speeding remains one of the leading causes of preventable collisions across New York. According to the National Safety Council, “Speeding was a factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities in 2023, killing 11,775, or an average of over 32 people on a typical day. The total number of fatal motor-vehicle crashes attributable to speeding was 10,541.” Many other factors could contribute to a car accident.
If a driver acts negligently and contributes to a car accident, they could be held at fault through a civil claim. In assessing whether or not a driver acted negligently, the small details matter. It matters whether or not another driver in a similar situation would’ve been able to avoid the crash. Any person injured due to the negligent actions of another driver may be able to seek some measure of accountability through a personal injury claim.
We at GLK Law extend our best wishes to the woman injured in the Suffolk County car accident. It is our sincere hope that she’ll be able to make a full recovery. Any person that may have more information about what happened should reach out to the police.
