MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (November 27, 2023) – An elderly woman has tragically died in a Chinatown pedestrian accident by the intersection of Canal Street and Allen Street.
New York City police officials are saying that the collision took place around 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning. A woman was crossing the street when she was hit by an Access-A-Ride van.
Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim. Sadly, she later died due to her injuries. Police say that the victim had the right-of-way before she crossed the street.
A full investigation into the Chinatown collision remains ongoing at this time.
