Two Pedestrians Injured In Bensonhurst Car Accident

Elderly Driver Lost Control of His Vehicle Before Injuring Multiple Pedestrians In Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (April 21, 2024) – Two pedestrians were seriously injured in a car accident after being struck by a vehicle in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

New York City police officials are saying that the collision took place around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. An elderly driver mistook the gas pedal for the brakes before hitting two pedestrians near 76th Street and 18th Avenue.

The driver jumped the curb before hitting both victims, one of whom was riding a scooter. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victims.

A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
