Investigation Underway After Six People Died in Newark Collision After Car Went Airborne by Raymond Boulevard and Blanchard Street

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY (December 7, 2024) – Six people have tragically died in a Newark car accident by the intersection of Raymond Boulevard and Blanchard Street.

Newark police officials are saying that the collision took place around 10:45 p.m. on Friday. A car was traveling down Raymond Boulevard when it became airborne and struck a support column.

After crashing into the column, the vehicle caught fire. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victims.

Sadly, six people died in the collision. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
