Jeep SUV Involved in Deadly Wheatfield Pedestrian Accident on Niagara Falls Boulevard
WHEATFIELD, NEW YORK (October 6, 2025) – A pedestrian has tragically died in a Wheatfield car accident on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
Wheatfield Police are saying that the collision took place around 6:45 AM on October 2. A pedestrian was trying to cross the road when they were hit by a westbound vehicle.
Police and first responders were called to the scene to help them. But he later died due to the severity of his injuries. A full investigation into the Wheatfield collision remains ongoing at this time.
Far too many pedestrians are killed or seriously injured in car accidents each year in the United States. According to the IIHS, “A total of 7,314 pedestrian deaths occurred in 2023. Pedestrian fatalities account for 18% of all crash fatalities. Pedestrian deaths in 2023 have increased 78% since reaching their lowest point in 2009.” Drivers should take actions to avoid accidents.
Every driver on the roadway has a duty of care to other drivers and pedestrians they come across. They must be particularly cautious during heavy traffic and poor road conditions. If a driver fails to slow down to avoid hitting a pedestrian, they could face liability for any resulting injuries. It is important that evidence is properly preserved after any pedestrian crash.
Pedestrian accidents are often highly preventable. They tend to be the result of drivers not paying adequate attention to the road ahead of them. They could also be the results of unsafe road conditions. For example, an intersection may have lacked crosswalks or other required safety features. The family of any pedestrian who died in a car accident may have legal recourse through a civil claim.
We at GLK Law extend our deepest condolences to the family of the pedestrian who died in this Wheatfield collision. Any person who may have more information about what happened should reach out to the police. There needs to be a thorough investigation into what happened.
