Elderly Pedestrian Died in Collision With Stolen Vehicle on Woodward Parkway in South Farmingdale

SOUTH FARMINGDALE, LONG ISLAND (January 4, 2026) – An 80-year-old pedestrian has tragically died in a South Farmingdale car accident on Woodward Parkway.

Long Island officials are saying that the accident took place around 11:40 AM on Friday. A pedestrian was walking when they were struck by a 24-year-old driver.

Paramedics were called to help the victim. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.

Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver involved in the crash has since been arrested.
