Pedestrian Killed in Passaic County Car Accident

Driver Charged for Passaic County Hit-and-Run Car Accident on Route 21

PASSAIC COUNTY, NEW YORK (February 3, 2026) – A 20-year-old woman has tragically died in a Passaic County car accident on Route 21 North.

According to Passaic County officials, the crash took place around 8 AM on Friday. A 20-year-old woman was attempting to cross the street when she was hit by a vehicle.

That driver did not remain at the scene of the collision. Paramedics were called to the scene to help the victim.

They found fragments of the vehicle next to her. Despite life-saving measures, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have since charged the driver involved in the crash.
