New York State Police Investigating Fatal Yonkers Hit-And-Run Car Accident on Van Cortland Park Avenue

YONKERS, NEW YORK (March 28, 2024) – One person has tragically died in a Yonkers hit-and-run collision along Van Cortland Park Avenue.

Yonkers police officials are saying that the accident took place on Tuesday. A driver hit a pedestrian and then fled the scene of the collision.

Sadly, the pedestrian later died due to their injuries. The driver involved in the crash has been captured and charged.

A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
