Man Seriously Injured in Huntington Station Near Drowning Accident at Avalon Apartments

Investigation Underway After Man Found Unresponsive In Huntington Station at Avalon Apartments

HUNTINGTON STATION, NEW YORK (June 22, 2026) – Suffolk County officials are saying that the accident took place around 4:35 p.m. on Friday. A man was swimming in an inground pool at the Avalon Apartments when he reportedly lost consciousness.

He was found by another person floating in the water. That person pulled him to the side, and two workers were able to assist in lifting him out of the pool.

Paramedics were called to the scene to help the victim. He was given CPR before being transported to Huntington Hospital in serious condition.

A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
