NYPD Searching for USPS Driver Involved in Fatal Hell’s Kitchen Hit-and-Run Car Accident

HELL’S KITCHEN, MANHATTAN (August 8, 2026) – A man has tragically died in a Hell’s Kitchen hit-and-run car accident with a USPS driver on Ninth Avenue, near West 54th Street.

New York City officials are saying that the accident took place around 5:30 AM on Saturday morning. A US Postal Service driver was heading down the roadway when they collided with a pedestrian.

That driver did not remain at the scene of the collision and is currently being sought by police. Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash to help the innocent victim.

Unfortunately, he was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
