natural disasters. You should take the following steps:

    • What items of value are  covered under the policy
    • What items are NOT  covered
    • How long you have to file  a claim once the disaster occurs

  2. Keep an inventory of  everything of value in your home and on your property.
  3. If there is a threat of a  natural disaster, take all precautions to protect yourself, your family  and your property. This includes, but is not limited to, securing loose  items on your property, moving valuables to a safer location and  evacuating if a voluntary or mandatory evacuation is called.
  4. As soon as a natural  disaster occurs and it is safe to return to your property, take photos,  video and written descriptions of all damage.
  5. Contact your insurance  agent as soon as possible to report the property damage claim.
