SOUTH FORK, LONG ISLAND (July 13, 2026) – At least 58 people have been sickened in a South Fork, Long Island Salmonella outbreak that has been connected to a private community event.

Long Island officials are saying that the first illnesses were identified on July 2. Authorities believe that the source of the outbreak was from food left over at the Palm Tree Music Festival.
