New York Police Department Investigating Fatal Brooklyn Garbage Truck Accident Along Butler Street

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (July 1, 2024) – An elderly woman has tragically died after being hit by a garbage truck in Brooklyn along Bond Street.

New York City police officials are saying that the collision took place on Wednesday afternoon. An elderly woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a garbage truck.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. The woman was rushed to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities are saying that the garbage truck driver is not facing any charges at this time.
