Liability for Hoboken Construction Accidents

Many people are seriously injured or killed in construction accidents every year. According to TDI, “The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported 5,190 fatal work injuries in the U.S. in 2021. Of those deaths, nearly 20% occurred in construction, second only to transportation and materials handling. Fortunately, the “Fatal Four” leading causes of construction deaths – falls, stuck-by, electrocutions, and caught-in or -between — are preventable by using these tips.” Victims of construction accidents tend to suffer very serious injuries.

  • Broken bones
  • Head injuries
  • Lacerations
  • Spinal cord injuries

When a worker is injured in a construction accident in New Jersey, they will typically have recourse through the workers’ compensation system. In addition to workers’ compensation, an injured worker may be able to pursue damages with a third-party liability claim. A third-party liability claim may be possible if an entity separate from a worker’s employer contributed to an accident.
