One Victim Reportedly in Critical Condition After Generator Exploded at Parking Garage in Midtown, Manhattan
MIDTOWN, MANHATTAN (December 5, 2025) – Two women were injured in a Midtown, Manhattan explosion at a parking garage on East 53rd Street.
New York City officials are saying that the accident took place around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. A generator exploded at the parking garage for undetermined reasons.
Two women were injured in the blast. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the explosion to help the victims.
Both victims were taken to the hospital. One is said to be in critical condition.
A full investigation into the explosion remains ongoing at this time.
