Liability For Bronx Car Accidents

Thousands of people are killed or seriously injured in car accidents every year. According to the National Safety Council, “Speeding was a factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities in 2021, killing 12,330, or an average of over 33 people per day. The total number of fatal motor-vehicle crashes attributable to speeding was 11,057. ” There are many other factors that could contribute to a car accident.

  • Distracted driving
  • Driver intoxication
  • Poor road conditions
  • Inclement weather

A truck driver could also be liable for an accident if they were illegally parked. Generally speaking, truck drivers will be at least comparatively negligent for an accident if someone hits them while they are illegally parked. If it is very difficult for a driver to see an illegally parked vehicle, that driver that illegally parked could be 100% responsible for the crash. Liability may also flow to a truck driver’s employer if they were working as an employee at the time of a collision.
