Liability For Bronx Car Accidents

Speeding is one of the most common causes of car accidents in the United States. It has been estimated that around 1/3 of all collisions involve a speeding driver. What many people don’t realize is that driving the speed limit can be dangerous in even slightly poor weather. The roads tend to be the most slick just after it rains. Victims of car accidents tend to suffer very serious and costly injuries, including:

  • Broken bones
  • Head injuries
  • Lacerations
  • Organ damage

All drivers have a legal obligation to exercise due care in order to avoid collisions. There is a rebuttable presumption of negligence on the part of any driver who goes past a yield sign without yielding. Any person who is injured in a car accident may be able to seek some measures of justice through a civil claim. A car accident attorney can examine all of the unique facts of your case and let you know what your legal options are.
