MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (July 18, 2024) -Three people have tragically died after a truck driver went into a crowded Manhattan park while allegedly intoxicated.

New York City police officials are saying that the accident took place on Thursday night. Families were gathering at the Manhattan park in order to observe the fireworks.

An out-of-control truck driver went into the Manhattan park and hit several people. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victims.

The truck driver has since been arrested on charges of driver intoxication.
