Investigation Underway After 17-Year-Old Girl Hit By School Bus in Fair Lawn While Walking

FAIR LAWN, NEW JERSEY (May 15, 2026) – A 17-year-old girl was injured after being hit by a school bus in Fair Lawn.

Fair Lawn police officials are saying that the accident took place around 8:00 AM on May 14. The 17-year-old girl was walking when she was apparently hit by the mirror of a school bus as it was moving.

The girl got out of her car shortly before being hit. Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident and helped the victim.
