Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Holtsville Car Accident

Suffolk County Police Investigating Holtsville Pedestrian Accident by Union Avenue and Patchogue-Holbrook Road

HOLTSVILLE, NEW YORK (June 25, 2026) -A pedestrian was seriously injured in a Holtsville car accident near the intersection of Union Avenue and Patchogue-Holbrook Road.

Suffolk County police are saying that the accident took place around 7:45 PM on June 17. A pedestrian was crossing the intersection when they were struck by a 2010 Honda Accord.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash to help them. The pedestrian was transported to Stony Brook Hospital with serious injuries. A full investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.

Even if a pedestrian is outside of a marked crosswalk, this does not remove a driver’s responsibility to avoid hitting that pedestrian.
