WELLSBURG, NEW YORK (October 6, 2026) – Over 12 children were injured in a hayride accident in Wellsburg after it overturned while traveling downhill.

Chemung County officials are saying that the accident occurred on October 4, 2026. A tractor pulling a hayride was reportedly traveling down a hill at a high rate of speed when it rolled multiple times following a right turn.

Roughly 15 people who were in the wagon were ejected. The driver became pinned underneath the tractor and was dragged several yards.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident to help all of the victims. At least 12 people were injured in the collision.
