One Person Seriously Injured in Bronx Accident at 1 Marina Drive

Multiple Injured in Collision at Throggs Neck Venue at Marina Del Rey at 1 Marina Drive

BRONX, NEW YORK (October 18, 2026) – Multiple people were injured in a Bronx car crash inside of a Throggs Neck event venue at 1 Marina Drive.

New York City officials are saying that the accident occurred around 1:35 AM on Monday morning. A Range Rover and at least one other vehicle were involved in some type of collision. The bumper on the black Honda involved was completely ripped off.

One person was reportedly critically injured, and another person sustained serious injuries. Five people sustained injuries that were categorized as more moderate.

A full investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing at this time.

Liability for Bronx Car Accidents

Drivers have a legal obligation to use due care to avoid colliding with other vehicles, particularly around event spaces and parking areas. According to New York Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1146, “every driver of a vehicle shall exercise due care to avoid colliding with any bicyclist, pedestrian, or domestic animal upon any roadway and shall give warning by sounding the horn when necessary.” Several factors may contribute to a car accident in New York City.

  • Speeding:Drivers are much more likely to crash if they’re traveling too fast for the prevailing conditions.
  • Intoxication:Drivers are more likely to be involved in a collision if they are intoxicated by drugs or alcohol.
  • Inattention:Drivers are more likely to crash if they fail to properly scan the road ahead of them.
  • Low Visibility:Drivers are more likely to crash in the early morning hours and late evening when visibility is reduced.

If a driver fails to slow down to avoid colliding with another vehicle in the roadway, this could serve as evidence of negligence. It is possible that liability for any collision could be shared among several different parties. New York evaluates personal injury claims on the basis of comparative fault. There could also be sources of liability beyond any person driving at the time of the crash. This is particularly true if a vehicle was being used for some type of commercial purpose.
